Tele Convertor query - Impact on DOF
I'm considering getting a 2x convertor for my Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8. Now I know I will lose 2 stops of light, but what will happen to the Depth of Field ? With the lens at f/2.8 will I keep the same Bokeh effect with the 2x convertor attached ?

I don't actually know, but I suspect the DoF will reduce with the converter.

Depth of field increases with larger Fstop but decreases with longer focal lengths. The focal length doubles and the aperture halves so you'd think it would stay the same but it's not linear. In fact as I understand it it's massively complicated and depends on what you consider to be acceptably sharp but in general you will have slightly less DOF at 400mm 5.6 than at 200mm 2.8.
You could read This but it seems a bit oversimplified to me.
