tokina 100mm

does anybody own or know where i can find a review of the tokina 100mm macro f2.8? im looking into macro lens and i am a bit torn between a few tamron 90mm the sigma 105mm the canon 100mm and the tokina 100mm, at the moment i am looking for reviews of the tokina as ive read about the others. i think the canon is the best one so far but also comes at a high price.

so if anyone knows a site with a review or can show my some samples id appreciate it
thanks

Re: tokina 100mm

100mm is still 100mm, even for a crop sensor - but you have fewer pixels around the edge of your frame in comparison to a full-frame sensor, effectively. For a macro shot, this is is good, because the pixel density over your subject is then higher I predominantly use a 20D for macro shots for this reason

Re: tokina 100mm

I've just bought the Canon 100mm macro and have a 60mm for sale in the classifieds. It's a lens I can really recommend, I'm only selling as it doesn't fit the 1D MkIII.

Re: tokina 100mm

No problems. I've used it for a couple of years now and it's great, I really wouldn't sell it apart from the fact it now only fits my back up and selling it will part fund the new lens.
