What else do I need? Pentax lenses.

It's been a while since I posted here but I do have a dilemma: how to find the "missing link" for those lenses:

1. Sigma 10-20mm
2. Pentax DA*16-50 SDM
3. Pentax FA 50mm f1.4
4. Pentax DA 18-250mm zoom

I am considering changing (selling) my 18-250mm and switch to either:
Pentax DA*60-250 or right into a fixed DA*300mm (when available); problem is, I still would have a gap to fill if I ever go with the fixed 300mm.

I do lots of landscape and other outdoors photography (which the DA*16-50 acomplishes marvellously) but I would also like to be able to get into wildlife photo, which requires very good glass, and a long focal.
Is anyone aware whether this upcoming DA*60-250 would fit the criteria and if there are any recent tests on this particular lens?

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have a Sigma 24-70, f 2.8 and also the Sigma 70-200 f 2.8.

This fills the whole range for me.

Thanks,
Kris

For wildlife 250 mm is not that much, depending on what you actually want to photograph. You already have that focal length. I would be looking for something longer say 400 or 500 mm

Thanks for your reply.
So, not really a good idea to get a 300mm and then, add a teleconverter (of good quality), say at around 1.4X to 1.7X?
Would that be the equivalent (money-wise) to a 400 or 500mm lens of good quality?
I'd better go and check prices and then get back here to see m ore comments, which are always very much appreciated!
Thanks to all and Cheers!
