Re: What's your most used lens & why

For me it has to be a toss up between the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8, purely cuz it costs so much so feel I have to use it ......or the Sigma 10-20mm, just because I love the wide angle shots it gives

Tamron 18-200mm simply because of the range it covers. For £260 sovs an excellent walk-about lens.

Re: What's your most used lens & why

My kit 18-70 is on the camera all of the time, because it's the only one I've got!

If you do decide to sell the Sigma 70-200, Dave, maybe that situation will change!

Re: What's your most used lens & why

Sigma 18-50mm DC kit lens stays on - 'cos camera fits in camera bag better!
But Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro is arguably used more often (well, more successfully!). Well, in the summer, anyway

At the moment I'm enjoying working with the 35mm 1.4L.

Re: What's your most used lens & why

I do tend to keep the Sigma 30mm 1.4 (48mm equivalent on 35mm) on the digital camera with the others close at hand if required.

It is a very sharp lens with good contrast and I like the fast lens.

I can also crop part of the image and then use Sizefixer SLR to bring out detail.

Re: What's your most used lens & why

My Nikkor 18-70mm lense is the most consistently used lense. Covers most of my needs at present. I would like a nice wideangle lense for travel, landscapes and and general photography though, any suggestions ?

Re: What's your most used lens & why

Canon 17-40L is my default lens and the one that 'lives' on the camera. I tend to shoot landscape mainly but at a push the 17-40 will return reasonable results for most subject matter (excluding zoom ranges).

If I am going out to photograph a certain subject I will select the most suitable lens in advance and ensure that it is cleaned and setup on the camera so that I am prepared as soon as the first shot presents itself.

Canon EF-s 17-85mm IS - mainly because I am trying more landscapes and the walking helps keep me fit

Re: What's your most used lens & why

For me it's either my 17-85 or my 70-200 as that gives me a very usable range
