Question What's wrong with my Canon?

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's wrong with my Digital Rebel Cannon... I recentely dropped it on the ground and now any photos I take look like the one below. The camera only captures the top 25% and then quickly fades into black for the rest of the photo. I have tested using multiple lenses to see if it was related to the lens.. I get the same results with all lenses... I'm guessing something is messed up with my sensor, mirror etc but wanted to get some more feedback and any recomendations you have on fixing the problem. Thanks in advance! ~Nick

Re: What's wrong with my Canon?

Looks like the mirror isn't going up all the way, which I think is a common problem with this camera.

How to fix it

Nick,

If i was you i would take it back from where ever you bought it, don't tell them that you dropped it, tell them it happened spontaneously and ask for a replacement. I know its not altogether honest, but it may get a result!!

namllihs, what a fantastic web page you liked to there!!!! LOL

Re: What's wrong with my Canon?

Yeah, this is a very common problem with this camera, there was a thread abou this one here only a few months ago.
Either follow the link namllihs gave you, and do i that way, or, and o save time and effort I would do this, do as mouldy suggested, and yes don't tell them you dropped it
HOw did you end up dropping it anyway?

GOod luck
