Where is cheapest place to buy a lens cap ?
Hi
Bit skint at the mo, so looking for cheapest place to buy a lens cap for my Nikon 70-300 lens. I currently have a filter fitted . but find the lens cap must be broken as it comes off too easily. Thankyou |

£7.99 + P&P for Nikon cap on Jessops online, unless of course you have a store nearby.

Unbelievable, I have the same problem with the same lens !!! I'm buggered if I'm going to give Nikon anymore money for an item that shouldn't fail in the 1st place. Excuse my french

Sigma pinch lenscaps are abysmal, they have very weak springs. All my Nikon ones are ace so I just replaced the dodgy Sigma ones with those

My Tamron lens has a pinch spring system that is very good, it allows you to remove and replace it by pinching in the middle of the cap rather than on the edges which is excellent for using it with the lens hood still in place, much better than the Canon 'pinch at the sides' system. When it's on it very tight as well, no chance of it falling off
 Are the Nikon's pinch at the side like the Canon or from the middle like the Tamron? |

The Nikon's supplied with all of my lenses have been centre pinch but I bought a couple of Nikon 77mm spares for my Sigma's and they were edge pinch
