If we're still talking about the Canon EF-S 10-22mm and the Sigma 10-20mm, then I can say I found the Sigma to be better built than the Canon, the Canon isn't bad per say but the extra weight and feel of the Sigma makes it feel more durable to me... regarding weather proofing, I don't believe either lens will keep the water out if you get caught in the rain.

right, thats the decision made, sigma it is, £263 isnt a bad price for it! the extra cash saved from the canon will go in the piggy for a new zoom next year!!
