Free monitor & TV but you have to collect

If you want either of these then email me. Don't send a PM because I might end up offering them on another forum as well and emails make it easier to do the first-come-first-served thing as they're all in the same place. If you've got questions, however, then it's best to ask here in the thread so other people can see and they don't get duplicated.

My email address is:
1 at jameyhoward.com

Belinea 19" CRT Monitor

The first item up for grabs is this monitor. It's a good seven or eight years old now but still going strong.

Why am I getting rid of it?
Because my two new TFTs should be turning up sometime today so I won't need it anymore. So as long as the TFTs work fine then anyone who wants this CRT can have it free.

What's the catch?
1) You have to collect it (Croydon area). There's no way in hell I'm posting it. I don't even think I've got a box for it.
2) The picture quality is not what it once was. Focus has started to go so I wouldn't recommend using it for a primary monitor. I've just been using it as a second screen in a dual-display setup and for that it works fine.
3) It's been trouble free for many years but I'm not guaranteeing it in any way. If it was to break the day after you collected it I don't expect to get it in the neck about it. I have no reason to believe that it will stop working anytime soon but I just want to make that clear.

Fidelity 28" Television (non-widescreen)

This was bought cheaply as a 'factory second' type thing about five years ago and it's had a couple of problems since day one. The problems are:

1) SCART socket (it only has one) has a loose connection. Getting a picture through it requires a lot of fiddling and patience.
2) Sound through the TV's built-in speakers cuts out all the time (again a loose connection I suspect).

I have been using this TV successfully by getting the picture through the ariel socket (which works fine) and doing sound through my hi-fi amp and speakers. I reckon anyone who knows a bit about electronics could probably have a tinker and fix some or all of the problems.

Why am I getting rid of it?
Because I now have a PVR card for my PC and just watch stuff on that. Haven't used the TV since so it's just taking up space. Next time I move I won't need it because my missus has a TV already.

What's the catch?
1) As above, you have to collect it.
2) Be aware of the problems I outlined above.
3) Like I said before, It's been trouble free for many years (apart from the problems listed) but, like the monitor, I'm not guaranteeing it in any way. If it was to break the day after you collected it blah blah etc.

And one final note... I'm now about to go out so don't worry if you don't get an email back anytime soon.

Bump. Both still available.

Will bump this thread one more time next week and then they're going to the tip.
