FS: Hoya 52mm IR Filter (UK)

Originally bought here :- Hoya 52mm IR Filter , so you can see the picc there.

Here are some example shots taken with the filter here :- Hoya R72 Filter - Example shots of IR / Infrared / Infra Red

Only reason for selling is I bought a D70 to convert to IR, which I've not yet done Hoping if Isell this item, I'll be forced to finish the conversion

Selling for £15 incl P&P. 1st come 1st serve on this thread.

Re: FS: Hoya 52mm IR Filter (UK)

Dave, I think I am right in saying these only work with a camera that has had the conversion is that right? (Digital SLR I mean). If so then I'll leave it but what did you use for the shots you showed? I assume they were with a film camera. I haven't got one of those anymore, got rid as I wasn't using it.

Anyway, if you think it might work on a dSLR then I'll have a pop, if not then I won't

Cheers,
Rob

Nope..... those shots were taken on my D200 no probs. Not sure if 40D is sensitive to IR though ? Note shots have to be tripod mounted, as 20-30 sec exposures.

Re: FS: Hoya 52mm IR Filter (UK)

The 20D, 30D and 40D have quite a strong IR (blocking) filter so they will work but exposures are likely to be fairly long.

What you really need is my 10D to go with it.

Want a 40d body but got no pennies to buy one.

It would look good hanging off the Tamron 18 - 250

Your call Rob ? Note you'll need days with no wind if taking landscapes, otherwise blurred trees

Re: FS: Hoya 52mm IR Filter (UK)

Sorry I realy hate to do this but I'm going to have to back out.

I bent the wallet this morning and bought a new camera body.

It means I have to sell me old camera with it's lenses to pay for the new one, unfortunately my Tamron 18-250 is a 62mm thread so it wouldn't be any use.

Again my appologies I did't expect my wallet to drag me into Jacobs this morning
