Nikon FM2n + MD12 Motordrive

Plus 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor and 135mm f/2.8 Nikkor

And a freezer full of film.

I was going to say free to a good home... but since you insist,
£300 the lot.

I'll throw in a Billingham Bag as well.

Condition of kit: Camera & MD12 VGC
Lenses battered but optics clean and unblemished.

Buyer collects or I can deliver if local to Uxbridge/Aldershot

Shame! It might help if you stuck some pics of the gear up Rob?

I could probably stretch to 300 sobs for your Leica.

Hmmmm.....

No digi cameras at the moment - all in the 'workshop' for a service.
The last four months have had me in Iraq twice, Malawi and Afghanistan.
That's about ten years' use for an enthusiast. My Nikons look battered to b*gg*ry from all the clonking about in the back of Snatches and Wimmiks...

I've been using my A1 a bit lately and thoroughly enjoying it -sans motor drive - lever wind - the whole bit. I'm probably locked in some time warp but there's something about the cameras from that period which makes them hugely satisfying to use. Plan A is to shoot reversal and get Boots to stick em on a CD.

I find that the quality of scanning is very poor from these places - they just use the facility on the Fuji Frontier to scan and it's comparitively lo-res.
If I got back into it, I'd definitely make the effort to buy a new Nikon Coolscan.

Does anyone have a deserving son/daughter/nephew or niece who wants a decent manual film camera to learn on?

If so, I'll GIVE them this camera. Better it gets used than rots on a shelf.

A chap at work has a daughter who started a college photography course before xmas, I could ask him if you like. He's also a mad keen MAN U supporter and goes all over the country, so he may be able to pick it up.

TBH this camera came to me courtesy of the MoD and I would rather give it to someone who will use it for the purpose it was intended.

Plus I cannot be bothered with EBay these days: rippy-offey bunch of git-lets.

Is a college course not a suitable photography learning curve? Just thought this might be a good home for it to go to, if you were wanting to give it away for someone to learn on.

Lots of info on this camera HERE

This camera is ideal for a student. Most courses insist on a manual camera or at least one with a full manual mode. Also all modern cameras are paperweights once the battery dies. Not so this one... the battery only powers the meter, so you have all shutter speeds available without the battery. A guy I knew landed a job on National Geographic as wildlife photographer and he sold all his electronic cameras and got FM2's for the non battery dependence.

The game has moved on now of course with DSLR's, but this is still a very handy camera.
