Hello there,

I am interested in getting hold of any second hand filters that are no longer wanted or used. I am doing a C&G course and need to experiment with filters as part of the work.

I have a Canon 350D that I am using for this part of the course so would need filters that fit lenses of 52mm and 58mm. I have no filter holders or filters of any kind at the moment. To be honest, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I were able to get hold of some, say, Cokin filters without a filter holder. I can simply hold them up in front of the lens in order to experiment with effects.

I am looking for ND Grad, warm up, cool down, multiple image and perhaps star filters for starters. Or anything else that might be a bit... interesting.

I've got some filters which may be of interest. I bought a couple of sets of Cokin filters A last year. Some I am keeping as they are useful - eg grads, but there are some which you may like. I'll compile a list and post it here.

Hi Lady,

I have the following Cokin filters:

B42 - Galaxy (Puts a ring of colours around points of light
A005 - Sepia
A20 - Blue filter (Cane be used as a cool down filter)

Plus a complete set of gelatin filters with holder which basically lets you make a filter for any colour of the rainbow! You can assemble whichever colour filter you want in a matter of seconds.

These are all Cokin A (70mm) which I will gladly let you have for a small donation to the RNLI. You can send it direct to them, I'll trust you!

Just PM me your address and I'll get them in the post to you.

If there are any of these that you do not think you would use, please let me know as I can then give that to someone else who might make use of it.

Here is a list of what I have. I bought these last year in several batches from people selling up due to upgrades. The ones marked with a * I keep in my camera bag and use from time to time, the others are generally left behind, as what they can achieve can
be faked in photoshop.

If you have a look through the list, then pm me and we can come to some arrangement. I can't afford simply to give them away (sorry) but I wouldn't be looking for the earth for them. Some of the starred items may be reconsidered if you're good at arm twisting.

Ooooooh no! What can I say?

I'm really embarrassed and can only apologise profusely for not replying to your very generous offers. I did check back to this thread for some weeks and there were still no replies nearly a month after posting it so I though, oh well, I'll get an email with a link if I get a reply anyway... Forgetting that things had changed and that I needed to subscribe to the thread if I wanted that to happen. Doh. So, very sorry chaps.

Well, in the end I did go on eBay and got a pretty good assortment of filters from there, plus a couple from Jessops. However, after all this time, if you're still talking to me, Rob, I'd be interested in the A20 Blue filter, and would more than gladly make a donation to the RNLI for that. It's a very kind offer.

Also, andrewcliffe, after you spending all that time putting together a fantastic list, I'm afraid I am only interested in

And once again, I can only offer my humble apologies. I love the Pixalo site and forums and don't want to appear rude or disinterested as that is certainly not the case... The lesson learnt here is that I need to manage my posts a bit better in future and keep tabs on them.
