Wet Darkroom gear - free to a good home

Clearing out the garage today and I stumbled across the two boxes containing my wet darkroom gear. Going from memory the stuff has been in those boxes for something like 5 years although a quick looks shows that everything still seems to be in good condition.

Between the two boxes there should be everything you need to do B&W developing and printing, including a 35mm enlarger, printing board for sizing pictures, a wide range of plastic trays, washing gear, and so on.

I honestly can't see me ever using it again, I'm firmly in the digital camp now and anyway I have no space to setup a darkroom even if I did have the urge. Plus I need to clear the space in the garage to make room for the new bike that arrives next week.

So, if anyone wants to come and take it all away it is going free (so long as you actually plan to use it and are not just going to sell it on). Location is a couple of miles from the junction of the M6 and M56 - send me a PM if you are interested.

Re: Wet Darkroom gear - free to a good home

LARNE, YOU NEVER KNOW, YOU MIGHT MISS ALL THOSE WONDERFUL HOURS IN THE DARKROOM, WAITING FOR THE PRINT TO COME THROUGH IN THE DEVELOPER, FUMBLING AROUND WITH A FILM, TRYING TO LOAD IT IN TO A NEGATIVE TANK. THE SMELL OF DEVELOPER AND FIXER.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS. I MISS DOING IT SOMETIMES, BUT AS YOU SAY IT'S THE SPACE NEEDED FOR A DARKROOM.

I STARTED OFF USING THE BATHROOM, AS A DARKROOM,BUT THAT GOT REALLY INCONVENIENT AS THE FAMILY GOT BIGGER.

DID YOU EVER DO COLOUR? OR JUST B/W.

I developed a few colour slide films by hand but it's a lot more fiddly and on the printing side I only ever did B&W.
