Aftershot pro by Corel

"Aftershot pro" is a raw converter for win/mac and linux. Would anybody here have an opinion on this software. I have a soft spot for corel products, any comments will be of a great interest to me. If you can don't talk about light room.

Re: Aftershot pro by Corel

My only experience of Corel products is with PaintShop Pro. Back then, I thought it offered more than the equivalent Photoshop Elements. I was not very experienced in editing then, and previously had been trying to use Photoshop Elements 2.

I found that the Corel product had some really good features, but was not so intuitive to use. There was also a lack of tutorials and information on the web. PSP did have a lot of built-in help - probably more and better than Elements, but after a while I bit the bullet and bought CS2 when I got a half price offer from Adobe. I have to say that I felt more at home using CS2, but maybe that was just me.

You could try the evaluation download to see if you like it.

Didn't Corel buy out Bibble to use their software in Aftershot?

Re: Aftershot pro by Corel

Hi Graham.,
I have already bought it but still would like to hear from a user. So far I noticed it Comes built in with a full version of Noise Ninja. That is worth the price I paid for the whole thing, 50 dollars. I have done one picture on it, an IR which is why I get caught up in the raw conversion stuff. I have found 3 adjustments that ACR dosen't have. I can replacate the styles I use the most and I am hopeing as it looked before I turned it off that it has more powerful color "tho simular to ACR" adjustments. I did upgrade my painter program and have made a new effert to intergrate into photoshop, which it does quite nicely. This is where I found it. I am a Photoshop monkey and won't change my flow from there but I will add something that will help with IR stuff mostly. So if you have any experience I would love to hear it. color or what ever
