Have always been impressed with the quality of the tuition videos on Digital Photo Magazine, but alas since I changed my browser to Mozilla Firefox, I am unable to view the video's, unless I go to my computer/explore disc/right click /open with/ WM11 , where as before I could view straight from video lessons screen, any tips gratefully received, they used to work perfect with various I.E., but I wish to stay with Firefox .
I've done Options/contents/manage/ but alas these are the only ones on available. ASX, WM, WMA, WAX, WMV, WVX. Hope this is the right forum.

Re: AVI's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrh
I copy the tutorials from the disk to my hard drive then use PowerDVD to watch them (as media player doesn't like them), i find it much easier than the web interface the disc uses.
Then just name them something a bit more meaningful and put what months issue there from so if theres any images supplied with a certain tutorial i can find them easy. |

Thanks for the input stupot, even more food for thought, so Firefox isn't the one for Digital Photo tutorials.

Re: AVI's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrh
This will most likely be a file association issue from within windows. You'll just need to tell windows which program to use to view them. It may even be a combination of programs as with JMitchell saying they work once you have the QT plugin you'll need to check that QT also has the correct permissions.
In QT its file>options>file associations and mime types...make sure the tick boxes for the correct file types are checked. In windows right click on the file>properties>open with> then select either Firefox (should work automatically that way) or if not use Quicktime. Then place a tick in the 'always use this program to open this file type' Hopefully that should solve the issue ![]()

Re: AVI's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrh
Thanks Steve.
Have been in touch with Digital Photo Tech Staff, they said there was a big problem with their software working with Mozilla, never mind it is the only problem that I have encountered with Firefox, so will open them from root directory or save to harddrive (spare) for future reference. |
