Is there anyone that can explain the difference and whether it's worth paying the extra for Bibble pro.

Also does it keep or strip Exif data.

I need to find a piece of software that correctly processes Canon 40D RAW files.

It's driving me crazy trying to sort out what I want that I can afford. Tops is £70 ish so CS3 is out of the question.

PSP X2 doesn't like 40D raw and I'm stuffed if I'm shooting in Jpeg.

It would be ideal if it ran in Vista in case I ever decide it's fixed and I can put it back on my PC.

Another thing iirc is that Pro can be run (legitimately) on any number of platforms/computers provided they are all for your own use. I have it loaded under Windows on three machines and Linux on two.

I'd go for the Pro version - the difference isn't that much really, compared with some software I won't mention.

It preserves EXIF, does not alter the RAW file, and you can add metadata to the JPEG/TIFF you create.

You *must* look at the videos in the Learning Centre before trying to use Bibble. It's a little unusual - not difficult once you are familiar, but you can get into a knot if you don't look at the instructions.
