bundled canon editing software vs others for intel mac

Can someone give me advice please on whether the bundled canon editing software is as comprehensive as elements for example, or whether I am going to have to buy other software for tinkering with photos(like changing scenery, clouds etc.) Having an intel mac the options don't appear cheap as elements isn't universal yet, and I'm not convinced rosetta will handle it.

No, the Canon software (DPP) is nothing like as comprehensive as Elements. It does a decent job of basic RAW processing, but the editing features are very limited.

I wish Corel would produce Mac and Linux versions of Paint Shop Pro.
