Can anyone please tell me if the canon pixma mp970 can be used wirelessly on a network or do I have to have all the pc's wired directly into it. Thanks.

If you have the printer connected to one computer that is on the network and that computer is switched on plus the printer set to be a shared resource you should then be able to print from it using any other computer on your network. Is that what you want to do?

If it is and you need help setting up just reply back with more details (like operating system etc) and we'll try to help

Thanks Steve. Ideally I would like to use the printer wirelessly, ie connected to 1 networked computer but to be able to use it wirelessly for another perhaps in another room. Is this possible?

yes. once you have your wired and wireless networks setup and working, applications don't care how the machines as physically connected.
