CS2 + Lightroom or CS3 ?

I already have CS2 + Lightroom. Is it worth upgrading my CS2 to CS3? I use my computer for imaging most of the time and I like to work with raws. I only process about 30 from a batch of about 100 images a month.

Re: CS2 + Lightroom or CS3 ?

I believe I'd think hard about upgrading camera bodies or adding a couple nice lenses before I'd upgrade to CS3 - unless there's a feature you really want.

Re: CS2 + Lightroom or CS3 ?

Thank you very much for your replies. I already have Canon L series lenses covering 17 mm to 400 mm + 20D+ 5D bodies. Does that alter your opinions to the point of a definite yes or just a maybe.

John

That places me at a definite maybe.

If you don't buy it now you'll just pay more when CS4 comes out

Re: CS2 + Lightroom or CS3 ?

John, I upgraded fromCS to CS3 and was staggered at the difference. However, if you have CS2 and LightRoom, the differences will not be so significant. You can check on the differences on the Adobe Web site and see if they new features are of interest to you.

Re: CS2 + Lightroom or CS3 ?

John, I registered as soon as I had installed and activated then Adobe offered a free gift. There were four choices of which three were of little interest to me but the fourth was 31 days subscription to Lynda.com on-line training. I took advantage of many hours of CS3 training and not only learnt about the new features but more about existing features that I had not used fully. I found the gift very useful.

Thank you for telling me. If I am given the same opportunity I will accept.
