Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 Release Candidate Now Available

For the more adventurous amongst you Firefox 2.0 beta 1 is now available. IE7 beta has been getting a great deal of press recently so I thought this may interest a few of the Pixalo members.

FireFox 2 for Windows

if you fancy taking it a stage further you can also tweek it to get some extra features…
• Undo Close Tabs -- like CTRL-Z, but for tabbed windows. Keep selecting Undo Close Tab from the right-click menu and reopen previously closed windows. Sue-par.
• Remove the "X" from tabs -- you don't need an extension to remove that peksy X any longer.
• Adding more feed readers
• Spell Checker options

Google Toolbar & EXIF plug in don't work with this Beta version

On a plus, the spell check works great...... a real plus for forums like this

You won't believe this. A popup from Mozilla for feedback on quality of Firefox, actually caused firefox to crash

Only good thing is this new version restores all sessions at restart of firefox

actually use Opera anyway. it'll make you much cooler, get you girls, enlarge your willy and make you MUCH better looking. have to admit tho, still waiting

Further to Steve's starter I installed it. A couple of days later the email icon disappeared. Re-installed, still not there. Have gone back to 1.5.0.4

Just be prepared for it potentially crashing every couple of hours when that popup comes up

Please remember gents that this is BETA software at this point so there is likely to be bugs and problems. I certainly wouldn't use it on a work environment PC or some other critical system

But if you like playing with the latest software and new features....
