Using Windows XP I have setup a seperate User Account for my 4 year old. Is there anyway I can easily restrict her to only using 1 open Firefox session, to stop her opening other windows / changing functions etc ?........ she'll click anything

Buy a secondhand PC and monitor for peanuts and set it up to work safe.

Net nanny used to be the program that would do what you require. It can be set up to allow or disallow just about any actions as you require.
I am not sure if its still available or even if there is something better these days but it might be a good starting place for you on Google. |

you can run most browsers in kiosk mode.
