Re: idiots guide needed please!

With Photoshop you have to put the Raw plug-in into photoshops plug-in folder, try the same with elements

Re: idiots guide needed please!

The information you seek is set out in detail on the Adobe website on the page from which you downloaded the plug-in.

Use My Computer and double click on your hard drive which stores programmes probably C:

You need to follow the route to the Elements folder and the route is as follows for Element 6 (I am fairly certain it is the same for Elements 5).

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Element 6\Plug-ins\File Formats

In the list of files you will find a file Camera Raw.8bi You should move this file to a temporary folder in case you have to revert. The new file you have downloaded should be the same file name and can then be dragged into the File Formats folder.

You will have to restart Elements for this to work. I do urge that you go back to the Adobe web site as their guidance is clear and detailed.

Re: idiots guide needed please!

TOWERSHOT, I DON'T KNOW WHETHER THIS WILL HELP YOU OR NOT, BUT A WHILE BACK I WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL LUCIS ART ON TO ELEMENTS 5.

SOTELO WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SHOW ME STEP BY STEP HOW TO DO IT, HE PUT SCREEN SHOTS UP SO THAT I COULD FOLLOW THEM, I FOUND IT VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD, I WAS VERY GRATEFUL FOR HIM DOING THIS, AS LIKE YOU I DID NOT HAVE A CLUE HOW TO DO IT.

IF YOU DO A SEARCH ON LUCIS ART ON HERE YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FIND THE THREAD WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS ON IT. I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW LONG AGO IT WAS NOW.

I AM SURE IF YOU DO A SEARCH YOU WILL FIND IT, UNLESS ONE OF THE CREW CAN GIVE YOU SOME IDEA WHEN IT WAS.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
