Keeping wires tidy?
Underneath my computer table looks like a tin of Heinz spaghetti with the amount of wires and cables that seem to defy any attempts to keep them in some sort of order.
Any tips? How do you keep your wires tidy? |

Re: Keeping wires tidy?
Every now and then when I have a tidy up, I use those twist ties to tie the loops of shortened cable. Gradually they get undone (moved unit, new item requiring threading, etc) and it all gets 'mouse's nest' again!

Re: Keeping wires tidy?
You can either use these velcro straps or you can use slit plastic tube. I would like to say that the back of my desk has been feng shui'd as I have free access to plenty of plastic tube, but mine is also a spaghetti mess.

Re: Keeping wires tidy?
I think in all honesty we are all in the same situation. With all the PC add ons that ALL of us have it is close to impossible to keep the wireing system in any semblance of order. All the manufactures seem to have different lengths and thicknesses of cableing and the cable tidies that I have seen are ok for 2 core cables but not for the 3 core that is used on most PC's along with the add ons.
To me there is only 2 answers;first goe wireless with all add ons {and have the trials of trying to get it all to work with one another {be prepared for MANIC Depression to set in within 30 minutes of starting on this road} or do like most of us do and either leave the mess behind your PC until something breaks down or like Marulous be brave and resort to half a day of pulling everything out and trying to put it back the way it looked when you only had just a PC and monitor wire. Failing all else whenever you get that bored of reading the Great postings and advice get the wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend to do it while you go out to take more photos ![]() Regards Sparhawk |

Re: Keeping wires tidy?
I find denial is the most efficient way of keeping them tidy.
"Look at that mess of wires" "What mess?" "LOOK! That mess right there in front of you!" Sniffs, "I have no idea what you are talking about." |

Messy wires are a sign that you have more productive things to do...
