Microsoft Photo Info

Announced by MS ...

Microsoft Photo Info
Microsoft Photo Info is a new software add-in for Microsoft Windows that allows photographers to add, change and delete common "metadata" properties for digital photographs from inside Windows Explorer. It also provides enhanced "hover tips" and additional sort properties for digital photographs in Explorer (in Details view).

Obviously I haven't used it yet (and may not as I use cataloguing SW) but may be of interest, apparently it will enable the viewing and setting of metadata (IPTC) on images and groups of images.

cheers

Dan

Re: Microsoft Photo Info

This could be a good find.

If someone want to test it out and give some feedback as to how useful it is, we can then add it to the download section if you feel its worth while.

Thanks for posting this Dan

Re: Microsoft Photo Info

I have tried three times to install it but each time it gets to a latter stage before informing me that it was unable to complete installation so not sure what is going on with it. I do have the .NET framework installed so it is definitely not that.

If anyone gets it and it installs properly and you are using XP please let me know as I would love to try it out.

Cheers,
Rob
