Printer problem
Ok, so I have a slightly annoying problem that is probably easily fixed
![]() I have an Epsom R2400 which I am really pleased with, and have had it for about 8 months now. I have been using Photoshop CS for the past 8 months or so also, and my printer has worked excellently with it. I just recently bought Adobe Lightroom to use essentially as a RAW proccesing device before proper editing in Photoshop, and I have also just downloaded the 30 day trial of photoshop CS3 to see if it is worth upgrading to. Now the problem. When I get to printing with Lightroom or CS3, my printer options panel has lines through (making them unselectable) most of the important features, such as print settings and colour management. Anybody know why this might be and how I can fix it? When I switch back to CS it still works fine. I'm a bit stumped ![]() |

Re: Printer problem
I think that Lightroom does not actually use embedded profiles. I'm not sure if that still applies if you use a tif or jpeg image, but I think that is right with regard to RAW files. As such, I guess you might have to either set the profile on the printer driver, or allow ligtroom to print with the printer driver set to manual, so WYSIWYG? I'll have to check that out. I've not printed from Lightroom yet.
I also think CS3 has a slightly different printer setup to earlier versions, and now you can set the print parameters after the file>print command, whereas you used to pre-set the colour space in the preferencies. Keep us posted if you find the answer.
