I'm sure it will be very lightweight software for that sort of money. Can't see people downsizing and who will provide support for it?

Hmm, well I used to use Ability, donkeys years ago and a fairly good suite it was. I guess based on that they'll make some sales - especially to those who feel they ought to have WP but don't want to outlay for M$ Word!

Re: Tesco moves into software market

True.......but all new PCs are shipped with MS Word today. Does that suggest that Tesco won't so that people will buy their software?

Re: Tesco moves into software market

And the people that build their own are usually keyed up enough to know what alternatives there are or to go for a fully featured package.

Maybe Tesco are aiming for a completely different market though...the people that are just browsers while in the store?

Re: Tesco moves into software market

Bl**dy Tesco!

I detest that comapny with a vengeance, they are doing so much harm to numerous industries around the country, including farming, small manufacturing etc all in the name of corporate greed. As they are based in Herts I know a lot of people who work/have worked for them and they are a terrible employer, always re-structuring, making people redundant and ****ing with their lives to "save money" - this from a company that posts six month profits in excess of £1billion

I could rant for hours about them.......

Calm down, breathe slowly.
