test print

I would love to know if it's possible to :
once I have got my image resized ready for printing,if I could take a 'life-size' bit of it [say 5X3 inches] and print it on a 6X4 sheet of paper as a test print. It would be cheaper and I think better than reducing the whole file to 7X5 to get two tests on a sheet of A4.I am sure there must be a way!!?

Re: test print

Of course you can, in Photoshop you can just go to print, leave the image at 100%, turn off center positioning and drag the image around 'til the bit you want is over the region you want to print on. Bob's your uncle.

If other apps don't allow that then just crop, make sure there's no resampling going on and print the cropped section.

cheers
