After luxury Motorway cruiser for under £15K
I might be doing a few more motorway miles soon, so I think the old Z4 will have to go. Now on the lookout for comfy cruiser for under £15k. Not to worried if petrol or not, as company pays the fuel.
Anyone owned a Lexus GS300 ? I know Lexus has a good name & this example seems a lot of car for the dosh ![]() ListersGroup.co.uk - Your Chosen Used Lexus GS I've tried Merc CLKs, but found lack of feedback in the steering. Like the previous shape BMW 5 series, but know too many people suffer Aircon failure with them & at £1K fix price ![]() |

Re: After luxury Motorway cruiser for under £15K
For a work car , auto would be fine with me ....when you cover up to 300 miles on certain days could make the drive more relaxing . I just can't wait for the radar detecting cruise control ....now that really would help in rush hour
Well my thorax must be important to have its own airbag ![]() |

Good thinking Steve , I has Saab 95 Turbo a few years back & that was a nice car. Is the 93 based on the Vectra chassis though ?

Re: After luxury Motorway cruiser for under £15K
im not too sure about the chassis, i know very little about saabs apart from they are bloomin well built cars!! the 93 is a luxury to sit in and drive, also looks the part of you go for a half decent model. off the top o my head i think they do a 2.2 sport model, thats what yer after!!
group 20 insurance, i tried to get a quote lol even the 1.9 diesels are still nippy enough. lexuses/lexi are not that dissimilar! them old saabs were fit! i was fortunate to get a drive in a 3.0L one a couple of years ago, it could shift, only problem was it was front wheel drive...a waste of good bhp that! |

Re: After luxury Motorway cruiser for under £15K
When you first posted this thread I immediately thought of a 7 series. I did not suggest it as you appeard to be knocking BMW with the reference to the air con, and I doubt that any BMW will differ in that department.
The 7 series are stonking VFM as they depreciate so much and so quickly from their new price. Some of my family swear by them as the ultimate cruiser for the money. If you want something different how about an 8 series? |
