Shameless bump, the seminar will be on tuesday evening so if you have any questions get em in quick, I will report back here with an outlay of what was said etc so that everybody will get a bit more insight into the Alamy way of working, I will be asking about the search algorithm and keywording etc.

I have not looked at Alamys interface or website so don't know if these questions are already answered there, assuming they are not here are few off the top of my head...

What is the ratio of advertisers vs photos..ie what percentage of stock actually sells?

How many submissions would you have to make to expect a reasonable chance of selling some (assuming the quality is up to scratch)?

Are they seeing a change in the requested stock..ie subjects and what is currently in high demand + do they see that continuing?

Is there any indication of what subjects are growing or fading...does Alamy show what people are actually searching for or what they have recently bought?

What are the biggest mistakes (in their opinion) that photographers make when trying to use Alamy?

If they were to give just one single bit of advice that would make the biggest difference to helping the photographers get the most from them...what would that be?

My big question would have to be about when they expect to have the Alamy Upload capability up and running, even just a raw estimate. I'd venture a guess that they already hear enough people ask that one though.
