Anger as police complaint becomes net hit
Anger as police complaint becomes net hit
ALAN McEWEN CRIME REPORTER (amcewen@edinburghnews.com) IT is a frustration most people have felt at one time or another, hanging on the phone, waiting in vain to be connected to the service they need. But one Leith man responded in an extreme way when he couldn't get through to the police after waiting around 20 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. He sent off a sarcastic and hilarious e-mail expressing his frustration. However, his brief correspondence with the force has not remained private, as he expected. Continues... Here's the email correspondance: - Quote:

Re: Anger as police complaint becomes net hit
PMSL!
![]() Reminds me of the farmer who had a group of uninvited 'guests' partying in one of his barns. Polite requests were ignored and being law abiding he resisted breaking out the shotguns, so he called the police: "I'm terribly sorry sir but there's no one available to come to your premises" Thinking quickly, the farmer replied: "But they're armed" Within minutes the Armed Response screamed into his farmyard, followed by police cars and vans, to find a bunch of drunken revellers who they promptly arrested for trespassing Police: "I thought you said they were armed" Farmer: "I thought you said you had no one available"

Re: Anger as police complaint becomes net hit
That's great, and just the kind of thing that should be leaked IMHO.
![]() There's a fantastic email along similar lines relating to NTL's (lack of) customer service. Just Google for 'NTL complaint letter' but make sure you're wearing a nappy first as when I first read it I almost wet myself. |
