Researchers at the Georgia institute of technology claimed to have developed a prototype anti digital camera device. I don't know how the device works or it's range but if it is effective it could have huge implications for press photography. Still there is always the exotic substance Silver halide to fall back on.and if boffins at GIT can block digital capture scientists for the manufacturers can, and surely will find a way round the problem

On a serious note, pro cameras could have a farady cage built around the main electronics to protect them. I always said I would build one round a pub if I owned one, just to stop all mobiles working

ok, from my understanding of the article, it's not really gonna help against dSLR's... given that the sensor is hidden by the mirror it can't be detected. at least not until the shutter is pressed. Then they have a very short amount of time to detect, recognise and disable the sensor... maybe their system can work that quickly... dunno.
