the BIG PICTURE

Has anyone submitted any photos yet to the BIG PICTURE?

The Big Picture

Be part of a World Record attempt

Part of The Big Picture is a record breaking attempt for the largest photo mosaic in the world. To do this we need around 95,000 photos – so get adding yours!
The current World Record for the largest photo mosaic measured 562.85 m² (6,058.46 ft²) and contained 94,392 individual photographs. It was created by Foto Quelle, in Nurnberg, Germany, on 15 December 2007, but we think the people of the West Midlands can break that easily!

We're aiming for 100,000 images to be in The Big Picture. If we can do that, we'll produce a huge montage of all of the photos, meaning that everyone submitting a photo will become a joint-World Record Holder.

Re: the BIG PICTURE

As I spent the unquestionably worst years of my life living in Wolverhampton as a kid (aka The Black Hole of England!) I have spent the rest of my years trying to forget that place exists so I am not going to help them with a record attempt LOL.

Now, if they should do one down my neck of the woods, I think I could get them started with about 5000 photos of the area on my own

Cheers,
Rob

Re: the BIG PICTURE

Hi Rob,

You should wait till the event in the midlands is over then set up and beat the record from dorset.
It could be the shortest title holding record

Re: the BIG PICTURE

If I want to use a photo from The Big Picture website, how do I get permission?
Photos on The Big Picture website and on Flickr.com are the property of the photographer. We would suggest contacting the photographer directly via their Flickr account. To find out more about sending and receiving Flickr mail (which is a bit like email) click here. The Big Picture team strongly advises against copying and using any photo that appears on this website without the prior consent of the photographer.
