Flew out to Romania again yesterday, shame my luggage didn't arrive with me .

A colleague was on the same flights Bimingham - Munich - Timisoura as me and he got his bags although with a 45 min connection time I'm not surprised. Arrived to find its about 38 degrees, so was out looking for some new funky clothes last night. Selection in this neck of the woods is not good.

For the first time I'll be here over the weekend and have brought my camera, so will try to post some pictures later next week. I'm going to try and get to Budapest at the weekend.

Sorry to hear that you're now one of the statistics for not receiving your baggage! If it makes you feel better it happened to us at the start of a holiday to Egypt (where fashion is somewhat less than even Roumania), again when we returned (tho they found our bags that time "in a corner" - but we never got the stuff back on the outward journey!). More recently, upon returning from Nepal (and they sent a car all the way to Cardiff from Heathrow - admittedly a week later........ after I'd broken into the house as keys in bag!)

What makes it worse is I'm in meetings all this week and then more next week with the customer, you just feel a numpty wearing casual clothes. Nevermind, with careful rotation I should be able to get 4 days out of my current underwear......

Luckily I put my D50, 1 lens and flashgun in my laptop bag and left my camera bag with 2 other lenses / accessories in the suitcase. If I have lost them then its only 2 lenses. With baggage restrictions as they are, I couldn't take both my laptop and camera bag onto the plane.

Was just leaving the hotel last night to go and buy some t-shirts and spotted a bloke walking into the hotel with a bag looking like mine.... it was !!!! Clothes were a bit scrunched up but all my gear was still inside. No more undie rotation for me

Off out to sample the nightlife now but gotta be in the factory tomorrow

Well certainly do feel a little after plenty of these last night

In Arad they have an area called the strand near to the river, which has bars, restaurants, outdoor swimming pools etc. Sat in one bar and paid £0.80p for a 0.5lt bottle of beer, went to another bar and paid £4 for a vodka redbull !! We had seen some flyers for a bar which was promoting a new DJ. I would like to say that I took some meaningful pictures but these are the only ones to come out..........

Got back in about 4.30am this morning, taxi picked us up from the hotel at 9am Don't see much work being done today.

We're off to Timisoara tonight to watch a Series 1 football match (Politehnica Ştiinţa Timişoara), will post some pictures later. Hopefully on Sunday I can get out and about in Arad town centre and take some pictures, the building architecture in this area is fascinating.
