Re: Blatent thieving of thread idea ~ logos
I find the camera icon a little blocky with that amount of black and I'm unsure as to nature of the black dot, top right
The text is nice and straightforward but could probably do with a tweak - maybe introduce anonther colour or do something with the "IS" |

The black dot represents the fastener bit that you attach the strap to.

Ok well here's a quick attempt, I tried to integrate your camera logo with the text a bit more while still keeping things simple as you requested.
...I'm just not sure if the shape still resembles a camera enough now that I've removed part of it to make way for the text. ![]() ![]() |

Re: Blatent thieving of thread idea ~ logos
About 5 minutes in Photoshop
![]() Started a new project with a white background, Added your logo as a new layer, Cut out a bit of the logo to make room for text, Added "IS" text in white then moved it into the logo, Added "PHOTOGRAPHY" text in black and in a slightly smaller size then moved it into the logo, Added a drop shadow to "PHOTOGRAPHY" text, Merged layers and saved, Done!. |

Lol, your very welcome... have a play around with it yourself and no doubt you'll come up with something better, it's amazing what you stumble across sometimes when trying out the various filters and effects!

Re: Blatent thieving of thread idea ~ logos
True, Ive added a black border but only for my website it gives it a nice 3D effect, going to have a bit more of a play.
This is why I gave up web design lol |

Re: Blatent thieving of thread idea ~ logos
I like that, nice and simple, professional looking. The 3d + shadow text give it a bit of depth.
Two comments, the camera part should perhaps have a shadow too, not entirely sure but doesn't seem quite right to have a shadow on one element but not on the other. And, if you squint a bit I think it looks kinda like a guitar, used small, or glanced at briefly that may be the first impression. cheers Dan |
