But can,t see any Francis Barrnets amongst em, (Jasper Carrot snigger,pretty Cool hey!)

It was absolutely fantastic in dry, sunny weather...

So I had to choose between moving to California or selling it to someone in Italy. It now lives near Treviso, where I'm sure it's much happier.

MY first car was an Allegro which today was announced as the worst car ever! Austin Allegro voted worst car in Britain - Telegraph Even had the square steering wheel (though at times it felt as if all 4 were that shape ) bought 2nd hand 1978. JAB 299 N

I had an Allegro Estate - company car so new but still managed to pour prodigious amounts of oil onto the road through the gear selector seal - but the underneath was beautifully protected with the thick coating of oil! Fond memories of trying to overtake people on the M5 on the unploughed fast lane (but only 4 inches of snow) firing on 3 cylinders (cracked distributor cap) - built up speed to 50mph, pulled out, slowed to 30mph, pulled in
