Cheapest place for sheds ?
With stupid prices of houses, it winds me up having an attached double garage, sitting there as an expensive shed. Sooooooo, was considering converting it into a Photo studio. So now I need a decent size shed to store all the rubbish currently in Garage
![]() Anyone advise best place for cheap sheds ? Have no problems self assembling. Probably looking for 10-12 ft x 6-7ft

Re: Cheapest place for sheds ?
We got ours from Shedstore. Cheap and cheerful or as expensive as you like.

![]() Back on topic, many years ago I wanted a shed. Eventually went for not the cheapest, but for not a lot more than the cost of the cheapest got one with written 15 year warranty. Local firm beat the rest for VFM and free delivery. |

Re: Cheapest place for sheds ?
I'll go along with that. Ask around for recommendations of a local supplier, and take a good look because there are some good ones and some right sheds out there.

Re: Cheapest place for sheds ?
Dave , I Would Suggest, The Best Way Would Be To Build Your Own.
Six 8 X 4 Sheets Of 3/4 Inch Marine Ply Will Do The Sides Front And Rear, Four 8 X 4 Sheets Of 3/4 Inch Shuttering Ply Will Do The Roof. 2 X 2 TanaliZED Timber Will Be Best For The Frame Work. A Couple Of Rolls Of Mineral Felt For The Roof. Window And Door Frames Can Be Constructed From 2 X 2. Then Either One Or Two Ledge And Braced Doors. Also 6 X 1 TanaliZED Timber For The Floor. PS YOU MAY NEED EIGHT SHEETS OF MARINE PLY DEPENDING ON HOW BIG YOU MAKE IT This In My Opinion Will Be Much Stronger Than Most Sheds, Which Are Made From Cheap Shiplap That End Up Leaking. The Cost Will Not Be That Much, Marine Ply About £30 Per Sheet Tanalised Timber Very Cheap. Hope This Helps. Last edited by WOODY; 17-10-2007 at 11:48. |

If you're going to do it, do it properly.

Re: Cheapest place for sheds ?
Actually, Woody has a point. OH wanted a 12 x 8 and there was something like a 8 week waiting list for anything with a sensible price. He ended up building his own out of bits and pieces!! Took longer but did work out cheaper.

Re: Cheapest place for sheds ?
I agree look around the industrial estates for a small company, we always got ours from there as it was 1/2 the price of the big DIY stores.
Garage as a studio hmmmmm * plots to get OH bike out in the cold and use 1/2 the garage as a studio* Mwahahahahahahhaahaha
