Completely bats!
I've just spent ages (well, half an hour at least) in the twilight staring out of the window at the bats flying around (hopefully eating the midges over the pond) and watching a hedgie snuffle across the lawn/moss/clover (hopefully eating the slugs). Isn't nature wonderful?
![]() Someone's going to ask what sort of bats - don't know - maybe pipistrelles? They're about the size of a sparrow. Anyone who can photograph one has my undying admiration.

ah - this one is easy to recognise. it's batus invisibluxis (latin name)
