Completely bats!

I've just spent ages (well, half an hour at least) in the twilight staring out of the window at the bats flying around (hopefully eating the midges over the pond) and watching a hedgie snuffle across the lawn/moss/clover (hopefully eating the slugs). Isn't nature wonderful?

Someone's going to ask what sort of bats - don't know - maybe pipistrelles? They're about the size of a sparrow. Anyone who can photograph one has my undying admiration.

Fine Capture. I presume from the grey background it was cloudy at dusk?

ah - this one is easy to recognise. it's batus invisibluxis (latin name) . of course it's very rare and almost impossible to photograph so well done

One of them times to put away the camera and just soak it all in. Something I'm getting good at doing instead of fretting about trying to get the 'killer' shot of a sunset, or whatever!

Re: Completely bats!

Too true, Mark.

"Did you see that?"

"No, I was too busy taking a photo of it."
