As part of the agreement for buying the new house, the missus agreed to sell her much loved Beemer & have a small car to allow me to pay £10K off the mortgage. So today I just bought her one of these
:-![]() List price of £7,995, with Peugeot offering £1000 off, then after much haggling & getting a Manager involved another £200 , so got the car for £6,795 in the end This car costs less than I paid for my Motorbike last year ![]() They do a "Lite" version without Aircon, leccy windows , c/l & few other bits & I've found a dealer willing to do it for £5,495 .....for a brand new car !!!!!! ![]() Got to sell my car as well now Mortgages ....who wants em ![]() |

My girlfriend has an Aygo which is pretty much the same car. Great fun screaming past BMWs and the like

Re: Downsizing the missus's car to pay off some mortgage
Preferred the look of the Toyota Aygo, but was quite a bit more money. My understanding is the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 & Citroen C1 are 80% the same car , with the original being produced by Toyota thank god
At least I know it will be reliable ![]() |

Re: Downsizing the missus's car to pay off some mortgage
Forgot to say we test drove the sport version which had 2 great bigred stripes down the bodywork, front spoiler & twin central sports exhausts
![]() ![]() Great fun , but a bit too garish for the missus, but the amazing thing was, with the sports exhaust & 3 cylinder engine , it sounded like a sized down Porsche 911 !!! Seriously ..... I was cracking up, accelerating as hard as I could everywhere to hear this sound . When I mentioned it to the Dealer he stated the sound goes after about 700 miles of running the engine in ..... shame, I quite liked it ![]() |

I say use the exta cash to get yourself a 911 - your wife won't mind a bit.
