Re: Egypt anyone?
My wife and I went last year with our two young boys. Like you we didn't want the early morning fights for both the breakfast buffet and sun lounges so we wanted somewhere a bit quieter. We found the perfect resort - El Gouna (near, but NOT in, Hurghada on the Red Sea). We stayed at the Three Corners Resort Rhianna which we found to be a nice hotel. The food was a bit bland but we ate out mostly. Loads of excursions you could go on, not that many kids about and one of the pools was virtually empty each day (we went in June).
Totally recommend it. |

Re: Egypt anyone?
I've been to Egypt around five times in the last three years, primarily for diving, but have stayed in the Sheraton in Sharm a couple of times and the hotel is fantastic. To be honest you'd have to go some to find a bad hotel in Sharm.

Don't leave your wife alone or you might find she's been swapped for three camels

Re: Egypt anyone?
If you like architecture then Dubai will be a photographic feast for you. I spent quite a bit time in Dubai (and other parts of the Middle East) with my work and I can tell you that Dubai is stunningly gorgeous. Dubai or Egypt will present very different but great photographic opportunities and of course both are great for the weather
