Fires !!!

Its been a crazy few days and it will be for another few more. !! luckily there been few deaths only one upto today, but almost 400,000 acres have been burned, WOW!!
My home is about 5 miles from the fire so we are heading to the beach and rent a hotel room there where the air is cleaner, the beach is only 15 min. from here so off we go.

Thanks for your replies.

Winds have calmed down, so helicopters and airplanes are now helping in putting out the fires.
1000's of homes lost allready, unbelievable !!
my home is still safe, For now...

Heres a picture I took on my way back from Oceanside Ca.
Thats how the sky and sun looked because of the fires and the smoke at sundown.

I've been following this! Amazing how with 500,000 people being evacuated there's still only one death! Seems FEMA might just be doing a good job (or the Red Cross making all the difference!)

I've been reading about it on the BBC site and it sounds horrendous. Some very expensive houses have gone up in smoke.

Thanks to all of you, so far I've been lucky, but 1,500 other families haven't, the Goverment is investigating , they suspect arson, and someones stupidity has allready caused 1 BILLION DOLLARS in damages (thats about 488,108,695 pounds) WOW in just 4 days, who knows what it will cost at the end.
