This site will be handy for exploration etc before photography.

Flash Earth ...Google Maps and Microsoft Virtual Earth in Flash

Click on link then on Flash Earth then on Microsoft VE (with labels)

This is just like Google Earth as well. It's quite fun but the photographs are quite old and out of date in some places (the ones I know anyway!) and many areas are highly pixalated when you get in close.

I love stuff like this, i could spend forever staring at maps, the only thing better is visiting the place itself!
