Before i stick a hammer throu the nearest thing that moves can someone please help me, my i tunes libary appears to be putting in everything ive downloaded in twice or more. ive just sat and deleted nearly 500 songs which have doubled up. Now sat listening to me one of the best songs she ever sang Annie Lennox " No more i loves yous" sounds pretty good throu these expensive cans.

If you uploaded the songs yourself, then it's probably encoding files in the AAC format but still keeping the original format, you can delete the MP3 or whatever other format you have besides the ACC format, as long iTunes manages your music ACC file is all you need.

also what happens sometimes is, if you're on a home network or if you share your files you will have a shared file and itunes will also deposit the songs there, you can also delete those.

you can also go to iTunes and click on View/Show Duplicates you can right click on the songs and hit Get Info and then the Summary Tab and it will tell you what format it is you can delete anything that's not ACC.


Remember, to delete more than one song you can press CTRL and click on the songs you want to delete, that will select any songs you want.

Sennheiser HD 280 to be precise plus i bought myself a new NAD cd player which sounds pretty good as well throu the Wharfdales and NAD sub etc
