INTERNET security
I'm using Avast, seems to be good but it does not have Anti Spam!.
So, I have been trying "Spambull" which is spam only, it seems to be good also. Avast is shareware, Spambull is not. Any one using these, what do you think/what do you use?...Kenny |

Re: INTERNET security
I use Firefox and add blocker plug in for the web. Seems to work well
Mailwasher for email spam - Great program Symantic for anti virus and firewall - I like these and they supply the company I work for, so I am happy with them. Running Windows XP but thinking (not very hard) about trying Vista I should have added I also run Adwatch in active mode and then Spyware blaster and Spyware Terminator but only in scan mode. And just in case you are wondering I am not paranoid. Last edited by AQ : 08-05-2008 at 23:04. |

Re: INTERNET security
Norton Internet Security - easily the best for flexibility/control
AVG anti-spyware - good freeware app Spybot Search and Destroy anti-spyware - good freeware app (only use for scanning) NetLimiter - firewall and internet monitor As you can see I'm slightly cautious! ![]() Comes from a lifetime working in the computer industry! ![]() |

Re: INTERNET security
I have a problem with my Norton. When active it doesn't allow any web browsers to load/display content. Bit puzzled as i've had it years am it's always worked fine. At the moment i just diable it, but other family members find that a bit too difficult
. It kind of co-incided with me switching to Firefox.Any ideas? MiKE |
