Having known MattF since primary school, I know he likes to do his homework when choosing a new car. After looking at Merc E-Class's , plus 5 Series Beemers, Matt suggested looking at the Audi A6. Tried one a few weeks back & was might impressed.
Well today Matt sent me a link to one at decent price that he tried to do a deal on, but Part Ex price wasn't good enough. So he went for a different dealer for basically same car & did the deal. He was kind enough to share thedetails with me, so without seeing the car (as hundreds of miles away) I phoned the dealer, agreed a price & bought it Thanks Matt Hope it'll be OK ... never owned an Audi before ![]() So next week Audi will be delivering a 2004 3.2FSI A6 to my house ...... now that's why I like shopping on the net ![]() Now have to sell the missus' BMW 120D Sport .,,, for sale here :- http://www.pixalo.com/community/clas...tml#post171465 |

You wouldn't by any chance be looking for a slightly bent 330Ci would you? One careful owner but one careless passing Rover driver.
![]() Here I am back to moan . Thought just bodywork but noticed that the back wheel was at a funny angle. Suspension knackered! My stepson the mechanic says it will cost a fortune. Thank god for insurance (the guy in the mac's). Where was I when this happened? On my laptop editing this.![]() I am pleased with the pic.

Re: Let your mates do the leg work, then just copy em
Well the car was delivered today. Only had 30 secs to check it over, before driving 40 miles to customer meeting. Very very comfortable & very fast with that 265bhp engine, yet still turned in 28mpg on fast run. On way home in rush hour, did 32mpg over 40 miles. Not bad for a 3.2 litre V6
Have to check it out properly tomorrow, plus try to undertsand what all these buttons do. Pressed one & it beeped at me with a 1MPH warning sign Stereo system is excellent in the car though.... even though it took me 10 mins to find the volume control.

Re: Let your mates do the leg work, then just copy em
LOL congrats on the car. I have a hire car (courtesy of the other guy's insurance) took me a long trawl through the manual to find out how to turn up the heating. All it needed to make it obvious were red and blue arrows next to the well hidden dials.
