Well it's in all the papers today, re this £1500 budget film that has everyone talking about the conspiracy re 9/11. Note it's 90 minutes long, but it's supposed to raise some very interesting facts.

Be interested to hear what others views are on it ? Is the film in bad taste, or is it right to question such things ?

I've seen this thing pop up on lots of forums that I frequent, and frankly, it's a load of rubbish that willfully distorts reality and ignores basic facts.
The truth remains that hijacking internal US flights was simple to do back then, that the procedures that might have helped were thrown out the window, that NORAD was told what was going on very late, but even then, simply was not designed to meet the threat, and that the White House was shown to not have the slightest idea of what to do as events unfolded around them.
Three large passenger airlines most definetly did hit the three targets. I haven't seen anything to seriously challenge that, certainly not anything in the versions of this "film" I've seen.

There are indeed questions about that day that remain, but I'm not even sure any of them are even asked in this, or at least, not in the versions I've seen of it before.
I'm not going to to waste everyones time writing 20 pages about the various bits of the film I don't like. If anything in particular stands out for you, let me know.

dunno. it asked some interesting questions.

mostly around the pentagon attack. I remember lots of questions at the time and haven't heard any satisfactory answers

my issue with it tho is it's based on the assumption, if the film is to be believed, that the US government is prepared to murder it's own citizens. The idealist in me finds that hard to swallow.

The other problem is a conspiracy of this size would require a lot of peoples involvement. I find it hard to believe all those people could keep quiet about what would be the biggest story ever.


The reason I find it a bit believable though is a program on the Beeb I saw a year ago called The Power Of Nightmares. It didn't claim 9/11 was faked but it does show the length politicians will go to to in effect, stay in power.

I too find this a bit far fetched, as orangepeel says, where are all the people involved in this conspiracy, there is no way they would all be able to keep quiet with the amount of money they could make by talking. Some people are just not happy unless they have something to moan about. I remember when loads of my mates voted Layabout sorry Labour into power and then as soon as we went to war started marching down to London to complain, not one of them could argue with me the fact that it was them who voted them in so shut your whining.

I voted Lib Dem (and have a Lib Dem MP to show for it) so I guess I was justified in taking part in the marches, but so were those who voted Labour. Labour had shown no inclination to go starting wars without cause and without the full support of the international community. When they then went and did just that, people who voted for them were perfectly justified to protest the action.

The idea that people must agree to everything the party has in it's manifesto for the election is a nonsense. They are prefectly entitled not to agree with large chunks of it, indeed, they don't really have to agree with any of it, and can base their votes on which of the parties policies they dislike the least. So even if Labour has pledged to go about starting dodgy wars, people who voted for them could still march in protest without being hypocrits. This is supposed to be a democracy, after all.

Remember the film "Wag the Dog" with Hoffman & DeNiro ...or can anyone remember an excellent series on BBC called "Edge of Darkness" ......does make you onder sometimes

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory - occasionally it'll make someone loads of money, like The Da Vinci Code! Doesn't make them any more credible.

actually lots of conspiracy theories are ment to look just like that "theories"....I did not look at the whole video, just the first 5 minutes beacouse I had allready seen all that so I figured I probably seen the rest...anyway .. I have 3 words to say and that ties everything ...SKULL AND BONES
