New website

Having talked about the logo yesterday, I've now finished writing my website. It's very basic, but that's exactly how I want it, and I think it works, so check it out...

Nice site Jack, only thing when i clicked on some of the images in gallery they didnt show up. also is there a back button?

I think you should link everyones website thats in members sites

Yeh sorry about that, you sometimes have to wait because the images are quite large sizes. Currently working on that, but don't really want to degrade quality....

As per the back button, you have to use your browser's back button, as it's a flash object, which I can't be bothered (and don't know exactly how to in this case), condense to only take up a small smapce.

Thanks Stu! The coding took a fair amount of time, but mainly just the typing in notepad was what took ages, the actual code is fairly simple, (as I'm sure some of you css savy people will know)

It doesn't work for me, maybe you're working on it? Or maybe it just doesn't like me trying to connect from work.

Nice site Jack. Simple but seems to work fine as you want it.

I don't think it would be too tricky to get the flash gallery to squash down if you would like to include a back button (or navigation to your other pages, for that matter). Just put it in a div or whatever. I used Simpleviewer for my brother's gallery when I set that up for him. Simpleviewer is also flash based and also defaults to the full page but ISTR it didn't take too much tinkering to get it fitted in where I wanted it to be...

I'll have a go. I also have a simpleviewer but it's got all my old pictures in it, and is now not used.

EDIT: Shrimpy, I'm trying to put it in, but all I get is the skeleton of the gallery it doesn't seem to be loading the flash objects. I'm linking to the res files from my gallery, rather than uploading them to the same folder as my site.....if that makes sense. could this be the problem?

Nice and simple.

I used to use jAlbum there are some great skins but it can get difficult to manage when you've more than about 50 - 100 shots. Mind you that was an earlier version and producing incremental updates for uploading was rather flakey, you ended up having to do the whole thing far too often. Hopefully they've resolved that by now.
