Re: Now I've done it.
Nope, only further paychecks. I added to my kit, but hid the links inside the
faces. The camera ships today, but the flash is on backorder. |

Re: Now I've done it.
I'm probably going to be asking for help writing it. I've never written a review for anything, my writing is more creative than informative.

Afraid I'll have to pass on that, but I do appreciate the offer.

Let me just have your MkIII. End of story.
Oh, you can have visiting rights - Greenland's not far! ![]() |

Re: Now I've done it.
Maybe not Greenland itself, but go ahead and look for Thule on a map. We get 2 planes in a week, Monday and Thursday. Unless either of those days is a holiday. Both flights are from here to Baltimore, MD. During Christmas and New Years, there won't be any flights for that 2 week stretch.

Re: Now I've done it.
Crossing my fingers and hoping it gets here before the 31st though, I'd like to take some pictures of the snowscape and see if I can do a little color tweaking along the lines of this, and enter it into the autumn colors contest. Right now, the only colors we have up here are white, grey, and more white. And to top it off, the sun sets for the winter on Nov 4th. If I can get far enough away from the lights of the base, and the camera works in sub zero temps, I'd like to do some long night sky exposures.

Re: Now I've done it.
Sonsey, I'm glad someone found the links. Even after I said where they were, Steve still asked what I ordered.

Re: Now I've done it.
Getting what I ordered was so much easier the last time I was working overseas. Things've changed in 2 years.
First, I have to call Ritz to verify my order. Ok, done. Then an email- You need to update your credit card information to show the shipping address as an alternate billing address. Ok, done. Called to let them know it had been updated, and informed that the camera will be shipping out yesterday. Come into work this morning, another email saying that I have to update my card info. So I call them up and let'm know that it was done 2 days ago. Then I call my bank. Still showing my stateside address. Oh, here it says a change was made, but for some reason our system didn't update. Sorry about that Sir, it's updated now. So everything is as it should be now, right? I deffinately hope so. |

Re: Now I've done it.
I don't work abroad but I feel your pain re: the bank messing up your details. If your bank is anything like mine, you'll be lucky to have them update your address with just two or three phone calls. Last time I needed to update something on my details it took me 8 phone calls, two branch visits and a letter before I somehow overcame NatWest's incompetence and managed to sort it out.
![]() And they wonder why I'm not interested in an 'account review' meeting! ![]() |
