Operation!!!!!
Let's just start with the point that the operation (the wife has a ruptured virtabray (do you spell it like that) including some thing called drop foot) was canceled in june 3 days before the day when some one forgot to tell her she should stop taking the PILL . Well we turn up this morning at 6.45am she talkes to the consultant who strangly asks if she still needs the operation at about 2pm she is told to get into the gown and is told it could be around 3pm before she goes down but guess what at 4pm consultant comes up and tells us the operaton as had to be canceled. He told us about the problems they have had with a other patiant and adds he Karen was his patiant he would not have operated anyway so we come home to ponder![]() |

Re: Operation!!!!!
That must be so frustrating to spend all day waiting only to be told the operation is cancelled

Re: Operation!!!!!
You must both be really really really angry, + your wife's nerves quite frayed after the build up + thinking she was going to have an operation + next thing is no, she's got to go thru all the psyching up for it again
but ... I do believe in fate, i.e. in some way (that we shall never know) it is better that your wife didn't have the operation as scheduled. Here's hoping, however, for a new appointment + successful operation very soon ![]() |

Re: Operation!!!!!
have to say, talking as someone who has had disks removed from the back after they became prolapsed and ruptured that the operation was the best thing i could have done. After going 9 months unable to walk or mobilise to have pain free movement again was fantastic.

Re: Operation!!!!!
thanks for the comments we have to go and see the consultant week on monday to see where we go from here. the wife is a teaching assistant for infants so the chairs are so small and we think that could be the cause of her problem the lady in the next bed was a teacher as well and had the same problem.
