Phone ringtones

Whilst talking on skype to one of Pixalo's moderators his mobile phone began to ring in the background. After I had managed to regain my composure from laughing at his ring tone I took the ****** for a while, and then I thought that I would ask what our other members have as their ring tones/tunes and if they feel they are embarrassing at all?

Maybe you have a story behind your choice and would care to share it?

standard ring tone...... I have an old phone and i havent a clue how to get new tones etc. after all, i just need to be able to hear it to answer/read it and then reply.
i am not a gadget person ( apart from photographic of course! ) so have no need for fancy phones

You have hit on one of my pet hates "ring tones"

I know people want to know when they are being called and "need" to know its their phone but these "tunes" drive me up the wall. If I am out and remember to take mine with me I have it on "silent Throb" that way {as i carry it in my pocket} as the smile breaks across my face I know someone wants me

and I am not inflicting noise on anyone else

To all those with non standard ringtones ....." inadequate car ?" ....remember the Ads ?

Mines set to a quiet chirping noise....couldn't find a normal ring tone on the darn phone

Want the minimal attention possible when the phone goes off

Right now my ringer is 'Nightmare before Christmas- kidnapping santa claus'. It's usually something Depeche Mode or HIM and yes, quite loud lol.

I have Pink Floyds "Breathe" from Dark Side of the Moon - made it myself with some mp3 ringtone making software - it's nice and mellow so doesn't annoy people.

If I want something louder for the car then I also have the start of "Rock the Casbah" as a ring tone which is pretty cool IMO.

Mine's a tune called 'publicphone' - music with a phone overlay. If I don't answer it in time there's a nice scream at the end! But it's usually the vibration that has me answering anyway. And text has a nice 'front door' chime - to the extent that the dogs I was with recently thought it was the front door on every text!
