Anybody help ?? Iv'e often wondered who started the whole Pixalo thing and how it came into fruition, how crew get employed etc, it would be nice to know some background info, appologies if this thread already exists, cheers

Steve started Pixalo with Dave. Nobody gets employed as such - it's voluntary.

The rest of the staff are chosen by throwing darts at their heads. If they don't flinch, they have a job. (I made that bit up.)

The story so far...

Well Dave and Steve teamed up a few years ago with the collective interest to start up a photography based forum that would bring all the best bits of photography together into one family friendly place to be discussed and shared by all, as a result Pixalo was born.

In regards to how we employ Crew members, that is a decision the Crew itself makes when it is deemed necessary. We discuss the areas in which we could use further assistance and then we send a request to the member/s we think have the best attributes to assist us in that role to come and join us.

As to the Crew history, I've already mentioned Steve and Dave set Pixalo up... Myself and Stepheno were asked to join in shortly after, then as things really took off we asked Angela, Dabhand and Markulous to join in. The continuing growth from there has resulted in Silkstone coming aboard now too.

And that pretty much brings us up to date.
