The Power of Women!!

Three months ago I bought a car - here it is, a 2.2TD

At the time my wife saw the same car (but a 2.5 V6 petrol) in Chilli Red with Champagne leather interior. Well at the time I wanted a diesel so we got the one above. Last Saturday I ended up picking up this 2.2TD

Guess what....Chili Red with.......

......Champagne leather interior

Men..what would you do or have you done for your wife? Women......would you do the same for your man?

Re: The Power of Women!

I know you only did it so you could get the 40D when it comes out.

I bought my Wife a £90 haircut, and the next day she went to another salon and had another one.

At least that one only cost me £60. {Tries to find smilie cutting wrists...}

Ouch! £150 for a hairdo that spanned 2 days I wonder if it's a coincidence that it's the same price as Lightroom Your hobby is photography, your wife's is hairdo's ... that's fair

Stepheno, to answser your question ... not a chance

Let anyone have a say in what I drive? I think not! Just as I wouldn't stop her driving what she wanted!

Re: The Power of Women!

I dont expect the other half to pay for what i want , if he is the one doing more hours or overtime at work, why should he have to be spending that on me.Its up to me to do the extra if i want the toys .I definately would not feel right knowing hes working his butt off for my expenses.
But would i do anything for my man? of course i would , I always put my better half first and my children , dont we all!

Re: The Power of Women!

I remember the girls were home for a visit, the wife and I had already sat down and discussed the amount we would want to spend, then the girls went out with the wife and came home with a new car. In some familys the amount of money spent really counts, I could go on and on about how I depend on my favorite girl, but then you would see how weak I am.

Re: The Power of Women!

Ok since everyone else has taken this question seriously, I will give you my serious answer. Was a successful businesswoman living overseas, met + married hubby (who didn't have two nickels to rub together). Supported him for six months before I sold up all my worldly possessions (car, house + contents) to buy air tickets for me, hubby + my new step-son, to move to UK + used my life savings to set up home, live on + get us on our feet. I trust that qualifies I could say more, but that would be telling

Re: The Power of Women!

Chickadee, that was a harsh and very unnecessary response to Charlotte's comment. Regardless of your interpretation, that is no reason to launch such a personal attack.

Let's get this thread back on topic please and keep such cutting remarks out of it.

Re: The Power of Women!

When responding to a post members should remember that, on the internet, we do not have the benefit of body language or tone of voice to indicate how the comments should be interpreted. Whilst you may have one interpretation, it may come across to others in a very different way.

Regardless of how heated a discussion becomes, the Crew will not tolerate comments that start to become personal. Voicing an opinion on a subject and disagreeing with a poster is one thing but making personal comments simply is not acceptable.

The rules for these forums make it clear that the Crew are the final arbiters on what is appropriate and what is not - whether you agree or not.

Full rules here
